Love this write up on Beautiful Decay about my newest project in collaboration with Dawn Kim titled Crayola Theory. Explained our project beautifully! Thanks Forrest!
Crayola Theory is a new project in collaboration with Dawn Kim. This series is a visual translation of Crayola’s crayon titles using the physical objects and the official hex color codes.
Dawn Kim is an art director based in Brooklyn, New York. She’s also a great writer, comedian, dancer, and all around true artist whether she likes to admit it or not (she doesn’t). She always has some sort of personal project she’s working on and I was lucky enough to work with her on this Crayola Theory project. Please check her out because she is the real deal. If I had a yearbook for my life, I would vote for her to “most likely succeed.”
Once again, I have tweaked my identity. I’m much happier with this one than the one I had before. Much thanks goes out to Dawn Kim and Phillip Cameron for the help!

I had to choose a book and create narratives for one of my finals. I chose Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451. The first image below is my first ever “production” with a set that I built. I’ve barely touched power tools before this so it was a miracle that the walls even stood up. I have a huge new found respect for photographers like Ryan Schude and Dan Busta; they whip up these kind of photos like they’re nothing. Huge thanks to my model Graham Dunn, who is also an amazing photographer; Dawn Kim for helping me with styling and building the set; and Ryan Schude for building tips/inspiration!
