Congratulations to Chris Little of Louisville, KY (his winning image above)
Hundred and hundreds of young photographers from all over the world sent in their work. I was incredibly impressed and inspired by the quality of images that were submitted. So impressed that picking a winning image was almost impossible. Thank you to everyone who participated; I was touched by your kind words and honored to have viewed your work.

Lauren Dukoff held a little contest to see who had the best photo shot using film; winner gets 40 rolls of film and a Lauren Dukoff print. Lauren Dukoff is a Los Angeles based photographer who is one of this year’s PDN’s photographers to watch. David and I both got honorable mentions which is pretty amazing!
I think it’s also pretty amazing that Lauren even held this contest! It really does show what a nice person she probably is. I mean, it’s not like she doesn’t need the film. Anyways, this is just my thank you to Lauren. If I ever “make it,” I hope I think to do stuff like this too.
Design Is Blank Showcase - They
We all went to Fresh Pressed last night for the Design Is Blank Showcase and the release of They magazine. They magazine is a collaborative effort between (power couple) Marshall Rake and Azita Rasoli. They are amazing artists that you should definitely check out.
Anyways, the night went something like this. Dawn and I parked in front of a Rite-Aid so we got ice cream, of course. Dawn, Jo, Eric, and I went to go eat at The Kitchen in Silver Lake afterwards and then dranky-drank at the The Black Boar. Here are some photos from Fresh Pressed:
